The Brief
To capatilise on NatWest’s partnership with Team GB at the Paris Olympics we created a suite of pre planned meta assets (Meta moment*) communicating a message of support to Team GB over the duration of the games, tailored to specific key moments including opening and closing ceremonies and specific athlete messages (on the days they competed).
The main challenge was how we could use a pre-existing bank of imagery and video vignettes to make something engaging and different, using meta placement best practice (In Feed 1x1's, Reels and Stories) we created three different visual approaches to avoid ad fatigue and to give us creative diversification. In total 23 unique assets were created.
*Meta Moment - is a high-impact video advertising strategy used on Facebook and Instagram to boost brand awareness during key moments usually focusing on a 24hr period at a time.
Results
· A 4pt uplift in favourability (6 times higher than
financial services average)
· Over 1 million additional people making the
connection between NatWest and Team GB
· Reached 7 million more people than a standard
meta campaign
· A Campaign Magazine highlighting its success.
